Ever wanted to experience the horror of opening your own restaurant? Five Nights at Freddy's 6: Pizzeria Simulator makes running a business terrifying with its minigames, management simulation, and eerie nights alone.
Five Nights at Freddy's is a franchise that's all about spending the evening in spooky places while protecting yourself from murderous mascots. In Five Nights at Freddy's 6: Pizzeria Simulator, this gameplay core is joined by a management mode and arcade-style minigames. During the day, build your perfect pizzeria and earn money by playing classic arcade attractions. At night, keep a close eye on the vents to avoid being slaughtered by evil animatronics. Once you're all done, carefully salvage animatronics for parts while keeping your trusty taser close by.
These days, it's tough to be surprised by the core conceit of FNAF 6. When it was first launched, however, Five Nights at Freddy's 6 was simply titled “Pizzeria Simulator.” Released as a free “tie-in” to the main FNAF series, fans were shocked to find out that the quirky minigames and happy management mode were backed up by the terrifying survival gameplay of the rest of the series. The game retains this presentation --the terror awaiting you after each day of management is barely hinted at by the menus.
As far as gameplay goes, Five Nights At Freddy's 6: Pizzeria Simulator has some neat innovations. For one, the restaurant management mode and arcade mini-games are fun and engaging. FNAF's creator's vast experience in making short, low-budget games is clearly displayed here. The minigames are simple, engaging, and stuffed full of hidden lore, enabling fans of the series to view pivotal events in the FNAF universe. Meanwhile, the task of building up your pizzeria, making money, and avoiding mishaps keeps the management game fun.
At night, there are a few big differences from other FNAF games. For one, you've got a few less things to manage. More importantly, however, nights aren't timed. Instead, you're free to leave once you finish all of your tasks at the computer. This fundamentally changes how you play the game. Instead of sitting and waiting for an invisible timer, you've got to check back in on the computer and manipulate the menus to get your stuff done and advance to your next goal. This sets up tension between shining a light in the vents (to stop yourself from being murdered) and attending to the computer so you can be done faster. It's a wonderful twist on the core loop that makes FNAF 6 incredibly scary and fun.
The “salvage” game is interesting. It's a classic FNAF scenario where you'll need to crank your volume up and stare intently at the screen to avoid being jumpscared. The gameplay is also incredibly simple, with a single animatronic to stare at and no distractions. If you're into the sort of jumpscares that the series has provided thus far, you'll enjoy this stripped-down, atmospheric take on gameplay. If you're not a jumpscare fan, you probably won't like this part.
Just like other FNAF games, Five Nights at Freddy's 6: Pizzeria Simulator is not a hardware-intensive game. It'll run great on most modern phones. Additionally, the simple controls lend themselves incredibly well to mobile devices. Your biggest issue on a phone is going to be sound. Without headphones or earbuds, you may have trouble recognizing critical audio cues. This means that you might die a few more times on your phone than you would on a PC.
While it's not the most complicated FNAF game, Five Nights at Freddy's 6: Pizzeria Simulator is loads of fun. The pizzeria mode, minigames, and salvage mode all provide much-needed breaks from the tension of surviving at night, while the twist on the classic night survival mode helps FNAF 6 feel different from other entries in the franchise. Lots of lore, unique characters, and terrifying villains make it a great game for both FNAF fans and newcomers alike.

How To Play

For most fans, the trickiest part of Five Nights at Freddy's 6: Pizzeria Simulator is surviving at night. Here are some tips to get your tasks done without being mauled by a robot.
First, get in the habit of cycling through all of your options. Your basic loop might look something like this: look at the motion detector, play noise in the audio tab, look at the motion detector, start a task, and then look at the motion detector again. Being in the habit of playing noise and checking your map in between other actions will help draw animatronics away from you and give you a good idea of where they are at all times, keeping you somewhat safe. Remember to cycle through this loop every time you complete a stage of a task, not just when you start a category for the first time.
Second, remember to use sound cues. Not only can you hear animatronics enter the vents near you, but you can also hear your tasks complete. This one is big, since you can recognize the click at the end of a task and then immediately shut down your computer without looking away from a vent. Vents are scary, especially when they're full of murderous mascots.
Third, try to manage your noise levels. The various tasks all make different amounts of noise. You can reduce the amount of noise that each task makes through the management game, making later nights easier, but it's a good idea to pay attention to how much noise you're making regardless. When you're doing something noisy (like advertising), shut off the fans. When you're doing something quiet, like maintenance, turn the fans back on. This will help keep the temperature in the office reasonable while making it harder for animatronics to hear you.
Finally, if you're having trouble with a particular night, try changing up the order in which you do tasks. Different players have different preferences, but moving advertising from first to last will change how much noise you make at the beginning and end of your night. This will have a big impact on how aggressive animatronics are at different stages and can also have a huge influence on your temperature management. It's often the difference between life and death.
